POLDI Hütte s.r.o. Kladno is a traditional and dynamic company with many years of experience in the manufacture of tool steel,
construction steel, stainless steel, acid resisting steel and heat resistant steel, as well as high speed steels. SES has been the
principal shareholder of POLDI Hütte since 1999. One of the great strengths of the POLDI Hütte is that it covers all phases of the
steel production process from steel milling, forging and heat treatment to finishing on machine tools. POLDI Hütte owns the following
systems:
- Steel mill with 25-ton electric arc furnace, VOD system and three 8-ton induction furnaces
- Forge with GFM and SXL 40 high speed forging machines and forging presses of the type Voest (700 t), CKW (1600 t) and STG (4000 t)
- Heat treatment annealing shop and fully tempering shop
- Surface finishing using peeling machines, lathes and milling machines
