Billets are hot-rolled steel used for forging. This material has rounded edges to prevent cracks forming during the forging process.
Furthermore, Scholz Edelstahl GmbH only purchases material which complies with the DIN 1014 standard.
Billets are usually stocked in lengths of approx. 6 metres. These materials can be purchased from Scholz Edelstahl. As standard,
they are ultrasound tested and checked for cracks and mixing prior to delivery.
Our crack depth does not exceed a maximum of 0.3 mm.
